Questions

About Pellven's own files (.pellven / .bridge)

What is the .pellven format?

It is Pellven's own open save format — a clean, portable JSON file your recovered maps are saved into, so your work is not locked to any one app again. It was originally called .bridge; the file contents are identical.

Why save to .pellven instead of the original format?

Saving to .pellven keeps your original legacy file untouched and gives you a future-proof copy you fully own, with no subscription or vendor lock-in.

Can I still open my old .bridge files?

Yes — permanently. .bridge is the original extension of the same format, and Pellven opens .pellven, .bridge and compatible .json files directly. Double-clicking a .bridge file still opens Pellven.
